From: Firecapt205@aol.com Roger, I live in a John Laing development called Whisper Creek in the Northwest area of Las Vegas. We have been trying to get information from the City about John Laing and a lot of the documents have disappeared. Don't think you guys are the only ones in trouble. We were sold our home with a view of Floyd Lamb State Park. John Laing told us in person and on paper that we were protected forever on 3 sides by a State park. We just found out that they have been working on a land swap for several years with the State to accrue portions of the park for development. Another thing, John Laing fired all of the Nevada division except Paul Kenner and had their Vice President, Dick Bryant take over. We were then told that John Laing had sold their Nevada Division to Richmond-American. Isn't it funny, you sell your business, but you still are in business with the same name. You cannot trust John Laing, they will do anything possible to change the plans, build the homes different then called for. We have been fighting with them for a year, and the only time they respond is if you are able to find the original document and challenge them on it. |
