I am a five year resident of Las Vegas and have been both amazed and appalled by the growth of the city and the county. When you read and hear how Clark County claims to be struggling with electric power cost issues, shortages of water, schools, police, fire, hospital, teachers, nurses, and emergency care facilities one must wonder what in world they are thinking about when approached with a project location, and size, of a proposed development such as Cielo Encantado.

In today's article of the meeting at Blue Diamond last evening, there was mention of possible conflict of interest. Another possible conflict of interest may be the water district. It is my understanding they receive a monetary percentage of any BLM land swap.

It will take ten years to destroy natural beauty and solitude that took millions of years to create. One would hope the worst case scenario would be for the Clark County Commissioners to have the guts to stand by the present zoning of one house/two acres. The best case scenario they will have the ethics and high standards to say enough is enough.

Thank you for listening
